Sara Boan
Ki Collective Retreat Facilitator
Sara Boan is a textile artist, musician, and Reiki practitioner who has been exploring the multifaceted world of tea for the past decade. Originally drawn to tea as a way to relax after busy days as a professional chef, her curiosity and intuition led her to Cha Dao - "the way of tea" - where she discovered the joy of preparing tea in a mindful, meditative manner. Tea has been a daily companion and beloved friend ever since, both as the anchor of Sara’s personal meditation practice, and also as a way to connect and share with others through public and private tea ceremonies. Sara dedicates herself to creating and holding a warm, nurturing space for all who attend, offering a quiet haven of peace and tranquility in the midst of our hectic world.Â
In addition to serving tea, Sara enjoys working with textiles (particularly knitting, hand spinning, slow stitching, and natural dyeing), playing the harp, and serving as a hospice volunteer and end-of-life doula. She studied Animal Reiki with Kathleen Prasad, and recently completed her Level 1 Reiki training with Ana Mendez, with plans to continue on to Level 2. She is deeply grateful to be part of this beautiful, heart-centered community.Â
